As we continue our preparations for the new league season we are delighted to welcome Callum Penman to the club.

The 18-year-old defender joins on loan from St Mirren.

The wingback who can play either side or the park knows the division well having spent time at Arbroath last season.

The St Mirren youth academy graduate has represented Scotland at Under 17 and Under 18 levels and recently committed himself to the Paisley club by signing a new contract until 2027.

Manager Peter Murphy said “Callum is a player we know well and a player who caused us a few problems last season. He is highly thought of by Steve Robinson and has been involved with the first team squad in the Premier league but is at the stage in his career where he will benefit more by going out on loan. He has pace and energy and his ability to play either side gives us options and something we are looking for as we operate with a smaller squad this season. We would like to thank St Mirren for their help and we look forward to working with Callum.”
