Queens U19s side hosted Lowland League outfit Gretna 2008 at Palmerston as they rounded off their pre-season warm-up matches ahead of the league campaign next week.

They lined up against a strong visiting team and took the lead on the half hour mark when good work from Billy Gray and Kylan Hunter forced a good save from former Queens keeper Jim Atkinson only for Josh Kelly to be on hand to tap home the rebound from inside the six-yard box.

It was a good showing from the youngsters but Ian Anderson scored a minute before the interval to pull Gretna level.
