Tomorrow, we head to Alloa for our latest league one fixture.
The hosts currently sit second in the division, two points off the top behind leaders Inverness Caledonian Thistle and have a six-point advantage over ourselves. While they had a comfortable 4-0 home win over Peterhead last weekend, they went out of the KDM Evolution Trophy after losing to Airdrie in midweek.
When the two sides met at Palmerston earlier in the season, it was in front of the TV cameras and under the floodlights and after a goal-less first half, there was a dramatic end to the game when Mikey Hewitt scored with the last kick of the game to earn us the three points.
Ahead of the game manager Peter Murphy said “It was the right decision to call off the game on Tuesday as it would have been a farce, but it didn’t help us with our preparation for this weekend as it effectively meant that we missed two days training. We will be up against an Alloa side who haven't conceded a lot of goals and are on the back of a good win last weekend so will be flying high with confidence. Although we haven’t performed to our best in the past few weeks, we've lost one in six, but we know we can play a lot better and it’s a game that we are all looking forward to.”
