Now that the transfer window has opened, we can confirm that Zander Mackenzie’s loan deal has been extended until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old who joined from Partick Thistle in September has made 12 starts for us since he arrived and has shown his versatility. As well as playing in midfield, he moved to cover the right-back position when Mikey Hewitt was sidelined through injury.

Manager Peter Murphy said “Zander has been a key player for us during the past few months so we are delighted to have been able to hang onto him for the rest of the season. He is a strong player who can play in different positions which gives us options.”
