Match Preview v Raith Rovers - 6th Jan 26

Jan 5 2026 15:28

Weather permitting our KDM Evolution Trophy matches continue tomorrow evening with a trip to face Raith Rovers in Kirkcaldy.

Both sides had been on a good run of form, each having only lost one of their last six games. Raith picked up two wins and three draw during that time, while we had a draw and four victories.

In this competition after qualifying from the league stages we knocked Dunfermline out with a 4-3 win to set up the game against tomorrow’s hosts who were 5-2 winners in their game at home to Hamilton Accies.

Ahead of the game, manager Peter Murphy said “The defeat at Stenhousemuir and the missed opportunity to go top of the table hurt us all, so we are looking for a reaction from the players against Raith. I’m sure we will get one as the boys know they didn’t do themselves justice on Saturday. We are all looking forward to another tough challenge against a very good championship side. Dougie Imrie’s sides are always well set-up so we know it won’t be an easy tie, but we will go out looking to progress to the next round.”
