Match Preview v East Fife (A) - 24th Jan 26

Jan 23 2026 14:34

After a break due to the Scottish Cup last weekend, we return to action tomorrow with a trip to East Fife in league one.

The Fifers currently sit sixth in the table, three places and nine points behind ourselves but do have a game in hand. The hosts claimed all three points when we last visited Bayview in September as Tommy Goss and Nathan Austin scored either side of Reece Lyon in a two-one victory.

While in November two goals in the opening ten minutes of the game at Palmerston from Liam Smith and Jack Stott gave us a half time lead and Kurtis Guthrie rounded off the scoring just before the hour mark to secure maximum points with a three-nil win.

Ahead of the game tomorrow, Manager Peter Murphy said “We didn’t have a game last weekend but it probably came at a good time as was a chance for the players to have a much-needed rest. As we return to playing, we are looking to pick up where we left off and get more points on the board. The last time we were at Bayview we let ourselves down as we lost the battle all over the park. We put that right at Palmerston so we will be looking for that kind of performance tomorrow.”
