Match Preview v Aberdeen - 22nd July 2026

Jul 21 2026 11:45

Our Premier Sports league cup games continue tomorrow when we welcome Aberdeen to Palmerston.

The Dons currently sit second in Group A behind Queens Park on goal-difference but have maximum points from their two games so far. A two-nil away win over Brora Rangers in their opening game was followed by a two-one home win over The Spiders at the weekend.

Our three-nil win at Brora on Saturday sees us third in the table on four points after our opening two matches.

Looking forward to the game, Manager Nicky Clark said “They are the top seeds in our group so I expect this to be our toughest match so far. Playing a Premier league side at home is a really good test for us. We’ve done our preparations properly and the boys are focused and ready for the challenge. With the game live on television it’s a good chance for us to go and express ourselves.”

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing roof replacement the lounge bar under the Thompson’s Solicitors stand will NOT be open for this match.

We would like to remind supporters that letting off smoke devices/ pyrotechnics is a criminal offence, and anyone found doing so will be referred to Police Scotland. Not only is it against the law, it is also extremely dangerous and a health hazard to other spectators. No bottles or cans will be permitted through the gates, so anyone bring juice should bring cartons.
