Match Info v Alloa Athletic (H) - 22nd Aug

Aug 21 2026 13:47

We continue our run of home games tomorrow as we return to league one action and welcome Alloa Athletic to Palmerston.

The Wasps have three former Queens players within their squad after Ross Stewart, Josh Walker and Lawton Green all moved to the Indodrill Stadium in the summer. They sit fifth in the table after their opening three matches, after an opening day draw against East Fife, they lost one-nil to leaders Hamilton Accies and then picked up their first three points last weekend with a three-nil victory over Montrose.

Looking ahead to the game, manager Nicky Clark said “We went to watch Alloa last Saturday to identify their threats and try and find the areas that we can get at them. So, we know it is going to be another tough match, but it's one we can go into on the back of a win and good performance. As I said before, winning becomes a habit, so we’ve said to the players that they should take confidence from the cup victory and take that into the league campaign. Hopefully we can get a win against Alloa and kick on from there.”
