Match Information v Cove Rangers (H) - 3rd Oct 26

Oct 2 2026 17:59

We continue our run of home games tomorrow when we welcome Cove Rangers to Palmerston for our latest league one fixture.  It’s a massive game for both sides as we round off the opening quarter of the campaign, tomorrow’s visitors sit one place and a point better off than ourselves at the bottom end of the table.

Both sides go into the important league fixture on the back of wins in the KDM Evolution Trophy last weekend. Liam Smith’s hat-trick and a goal from Cole Coughlin secured us a four-two victory over Rangers B while earlier in the day, Jordan White and Joe Chalmers scored for Cove as they saw off Aberdeen by two-goals to one.

Ahead of the game, Queens Manager Nicky Clark is looking for the cup victory to kick start a run. “We need to build on the Rangers game. We all know the position we're in and we want to get out of that situation, we want to get out of this league, it's going to be very difficult, as everybody knows, but that's still where we want to get to. We go into every game looking to win and get three points, especially at home, so Cove at home is a massive game for us.  We got a good win, albeit in the cup, but it was a win and we need to go and make it two or three and see where it takes us.”
