It has been down to business for Manager Peter Murphy this week as he starts to build towards next season.

While he works away on building a first team squad, Peter was at Palmerston on Tuesday evening to meet up with Head of Youth, Andy Irving, and some of his coaches. It gave him the opportunity to take a look at the current set up and to cast his eye over some of the under 16, under 18 and reserve players.

Peter said “It was good to catch up with Andy and some of the youth coaches and to hear their thoughts. It was an initial meeting that gave me the chance to see firsthand some of the players within the Academy. Queens have been fortunate over the last season or two that a few of the youngsters have made it into the first team. We want to build on that. Andy and his team have done a fantastic job and I look forward to working with them to help develop that area of the club”.
